Been Awhile

Yeah, I know it's been a while, a long while. But I normally blog at work. We have a computer at home but since I sit in front of a computer all day at work, I normally don't touch the one at home. Besides, hubby usually has it occupied most of the time. Anyways, about blogging at work, I haven't been able to lately due to personnel changes. Mainly they fired the receptionist/store clerk. And since I know how to do those things, guess who got to fill the gap and do her job??? Yup, yours truely. I know have 4 jobs instead of just 2. and no, there was no increase in pay. There is, however, a lady that comes in 3 times a week for about 3 hours a day to allow me the opportunity to leave for an actual lunch, instead of inhaling whatever is around between phone calls, customers, and yeah, my actual job interferring. Yeah, I know I'm complaining, and I think I have every right to, but just not to you. You can't do anything about it. . . . well, can you?!?!? Anyways, I'm trying to get on here and at least check friends posts, maybe leave a comment or two. But until they hire someone full time for the front desk, I'm gonna be severly lacking on my blogging. Well . . . maybe not anymore than usual. But just thought I'd throw that out for everyone.

Until next time. . . .whenever that may be!!

Changes

Now I know most of you (the two of you, if that many!!) may notice a few changes. I'm playing around with this template thing and I've added a picture (although I wish it was a little bigger, but I'm working on it) and added the People I read (yes both of you). Guess it worked!! Now if I could stay faithful to blogging, maybe the two of you will have friends to keep you company on the People I read column. But for now I'm pretty proud of myself.

Until next time (whenever that might be!)

Whew!

Well it's been almost a month since my last post. And a lot has happend since then.

I had a wonderful vacation in Cozumel Mexico. Friends, warm weather, the beautiful blue ocean, being waited on hand & foot . . . what else could you ask for on a vacation?!?

The weekend we got back into town, we moved my mom into her new house. I am soo excited for her. This house needs a little work but has great potential!! Talk about a busy weekend.

Then it was back to the old grind at work, or if you want to call it that. I am there to draw a paycheck and on occasion, I actually work a little. If I could do this from home, it would be heaven!!!

The next weekend, we took a road trip to Wichita, Kansas for the Southwest Regional Bowling tournament. Hubby did fairly well, although he's a little hard on himself and doesn't think so. It was a very quick trip though. We left Saturday morning, got there, bowled 6 games, went and ate at Hooters (who happend to have the latest UFC fight on, a definite plus!!). Went to the hotel and caught some ZZZZ's. Went back to the bowling alley for another 3 games and then hit the road for the 6 hour drive home.

Last weekend was a lot slower and restful. A good friend came in from out of town, and stayed for a couple of days. We enjoyed a good chick flick, awesome food & fellowship, and tons of laughs. Although I think she laughed more last night than I did. But who's counting?!?! I'm glad she came and hope she had a good time.

So far next weeekend, there is nothing on the calender and I am definitely going to take advantage of the opportunity to sleep in, finally!! Since the weather has been absolutely perfect the last couple of days and is supposed to be nice all this week, hubby has promised we'd go fishing sometime this week. I can't wait, it seems like forever since we've been fishing. I am looking forward to it!!!

Well considering my previous posts, this pretty much puts them all to shame and I dont' want to overwhelm anyone used to the shortness of my posts. So until next time. . . . . . .

Still slow

Nothing came up yesterday for me to do, so this morning, I started asking around. I know, I know, I was asking for it, literally!! But amazing enough, no one had anything major for me to do. Yeah, there were a few minor reports, maybe 20 minutes worth of work, but nothing I couldn't handle. So, I guess it gets left in the toilet and not in the fan!!

I am soooo in beach mode. I've actually tried on bathing suits, to make sure they still fit. Tried on all my shorts and tank tops to see which ones I wanted to wear next week. Dusted off the sun tan lotion and floaties!!! I am sooo ready to be gone.

Slow

Today, actually so far this whole week, work has been very slow. For most part, this is normal. But this week, it's scary. See I'm going on vacation to cozumel next week. Now normally before I go on vacation, I am very busy with requests of things that need to be done before I leave. But not this week, at least, so far. I'm kinda nervous. I am hoping that since this is a normally slow time at work and there just isn't a lot to do, but I am afraid that it's going to hit the ceiling tomorrow or Friday when everyone realizes that I won't be here next week. and I won't be able to see straight and the vacation will be even more enjoyable.

Guess we'll just have to see.

Sex

Just wanted to make your day! I knew there was something I liked about sex.

1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that when women make love they produce amounts of the hormone estrogen, which makes hair shine and skin smooth.

2. Gentle, relaxed lovemaking reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis, skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced cleanses the pores and makes your skin glow.

3. Lovemaking can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic dinner.

4. Sex is one of the safest sports you can take up. It stretches and tones up just about every muscle in the body. It's more enjoyable than swimming 20 laps, and you don't need special sneakers!

5. Sex is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving you with a feeling of well-being.

6. The more sex you have, the more you will be offered. The sexually active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones. These subtle sex perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!

7. Sex is the safest tranquilizer in the world. IT IS 10 TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE THAN VALIUM.

8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away. Kissing encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that causes decay, preventing plaque build-up.

9. Sex actually relieves headaches. A lovemaking session can release the tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain.

10. A lot of lovemaking can unblock a stuffy nose. Sex is a natural antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.

couldn't help but posting!

Are you tired of those sissy-ass "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship:

True Friendship:
When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.

When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.

When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about .how much worse it could be until you quit whining.

When you are confused -- I will use little words.

When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.

This is my oath..... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask....... Because you are my friend".

Remember.......A good friend will help you move!
A REALLY good friend will help you move a body.
Let me know if you ever need me to bring a shovel.

I hate pain

I hate being sore, well, actually any kind of pain. I am trying to get ready for a Cozumel trip at the end of February and have been faithfully attending areobics and kickboxing classes for the last few weeks at a feeble attempt to change my figure in less than a month. Yeah, not happening. Did I mention I hate pain. Well, here's a shocker for ya, when ya start using musles that haven't been used in forever, IT HURTS!!! I don't know what I was thinking. But I guess I'm willing to endure the pain that I hate soo much in order to feel comfortable in a bathing suit. But today, I'm more sore than usual, so it's what was on my mind when I decided to post today. Sorry you got to hear about it. And no, talking about it doesn't make me feel any better!!!
